When coach and I were dating and
before we were engaged, we picked out the names of our future children. It
seems a little strange, but I think we knew we wanted to have a family
together. We had names; we were just waiting on our children to appear.
Ten years later we still have those
names. Unfortunately we have three children who did not live long. We also have
three different names than what we originally planned.
We picked our children’s names with
more thoughtfulness. We could not think of a name for our first baby. S/he will
always be our first baby. When we found out our second child had been a girl,
Coach searched for just the right name. He chose Ava. Ava means desired, and we
desired her. Lastly, I chose our third child’s name. She was supposed to be
born on Christmas Eve, so Eve seemed to be a fitting name. All three children
are special. We look forward to meeting and holding them one day in Heaven.
